Laser Printer Toner:
Unlike inkjet printers, laser printers use toner: a dry, powdery substance that is adhered to the paper using an electronic charge. It is specially designed to melt very quickly, and a component of wax helps the toner more fuse to the paper. Monochrome printers use a single cartridge of black toner. Color models use four cartridges, one each of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.
No Universal Toner Why?
Like ink for inkjet printers, it is always best to use toner that is formulated for the printer. (We Don't recommend using "Universal Toner", because the inner workings of the machine are designed to work with toner of a particular consistency, particle size and melting point. Using a different, lower-grade toner such as Universal Toner will result in smeared printouts (if the drum inside the printer isn't cleaned properly) or can even lead to jams and other internal problems eventually destroying your printer and the cartridge.
At ColorTonerPlus.com we are "toner specific" We currently offer 90 types of toner with different formulations.
